Dice Games
Yahtzee, Bunko, Farkel and More!
Whether you are playing Yahtzee with real dice or a Farkle dice game on your Palm, dice games are a great way to enjoy yourself with others. Dice games such as Yahtzee, Bunko and Farkel are great for teaching children about mathematics and good sportsmanship. Many dice games do not even require a board to play. Talk about convenience!
You are having friends over for the evening but you are tired of playing Trivial Pursuit or charades? Or are you going on a camping trip and do not want to lug board games along? You can play dice games instead. Your friends will appreciate the change in pace. While Yahtzee is a classic party game, there are others like Bunko which is just as much fun. In fact there are Bunko groups that meet each month at a different house and eat, drink, play Bunko and socialize.
One of the great things about most dice games are they have basic rules to follow. However, it is the often the strategy that makes the difference between who will win and who will lose. Some dice games are a based on chance and those tend to be the ones which are more often used in gambling. Like cards, though, these games can be played just for fun. Read over the various descriptions for each game and find the one that sounds the most interesting to you.
Not all dice games are played with traditional six sided dice. Games like Dungeons and Dragons use dice as well. Games like this use a variety of different sided dice to determine the outcomes in the fantasy construct of the game. These are games of the mind but they do use dice so they should not be overlooked. Check out the different package options for these dice, and there are also bulk purchasing options.
Dice games provide a lot of great low tech fun. You can play them when the power goes out, when you are camping, or on the kitchen table instead of watching television. They help bring people together in a sense of comradeship and sportsmanship that has changed little throughout time. Tap into that fun and play dice games!
